About our Club:

Diablo Valley Camera Club is a small group of amateur and professional photographers based in Martinez who meet twice a month (via Zoom during Covid-19) to improve our skills and explore our creativity.  We host educational meetings and organize occasional field trips, plus we enter images into a monthly competition where trained judges give feedback that helps us improve.
Get inspired, get educated and have some fun with like-minded individuals. 
All ages, all skill levels are welcome in our casual, nurturing environment.
We invite you to attend a couple of meetings, no cost, no obligation to see if it interests you.

Meeting Schedule: 

Competitions have returned to in-person meetings/judging on 4th Wednesday January-October and 2nd Wednesday of November

                                                at the First Congregational Church, 1229 Court St., Martinez, CA

General Meetings may be either in-person or via Zoom usually the 2nd Wednesday January to October

Our meetings begin at 7:00 pm.

About the Competitions:

Our club is part of the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C), a regional organization that establishes standards for the competitions. Trained judges are brought in to review the photos that members submit, and they provide live feedback during the competition night (4th Wednesday of the month). Because our club is small, there’s ample time to get helpful feedback on all the images.
Competitions are organized by subject (Travel, Monochrome, Journalism etc.) and by four skill levels.  (See the web page Competitions --> Competition Types)
Members can choose to participate in the competitions, or they can watch and learn from the judge’s critiques of other people’s images.
